Every year the international community recognizes World Day Against Child Labor with events held in countries around the world to raise awareness about the issue. This year, World Day is focusing on what can be done to keep child labor out of supply chains.
The U.S. Department of Labor and the Child Labor Coalition cordially invite you to a panel discussion on approaches for addressing child labor in supply chains, with experts from civil society and the private sector including:
- Jo Becker of Human Rights Watch
- Beth Gottschling Huber of GoodWeave International
- Amanda White of Divine Chocolate
- Genevieve Taft of Coca-Cola
- Judy Gearhart of International Labor Rights Forum
The event will also feature a video by Human Rights Watch and a showing of photos from the U.R. Romano Photo Collection and Media Voices for Children.
Please RSVP/register here. A valid Government issued photo identification is required for admittance to the U.S. Department of Labor. Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the event to be cleared into the building.
